Architecture

The Leo

The Leo is an exquisite new addition to East Village. Carefully placed cutouts create a balance of positive and negative space while an elevated roofline emphasizes the corner of the building. This building is an example of architecture with character that defines San Diego, with  sleek lines and geometries, a variety of materials, pops of color and a ground-floor mural engaging with the street.  Pop-outs and cutouts break up a single mass while materials such as corten steel, corrugated metal panels and a yellow colorway draw the eyes to different areas of the building, creating lovely asymmetry.
