The details of the building are terrible and ill conceived. Construction is sloppy and the massing of the building is poor. The building design disregards the neighborhood context and scale.

Big Red…. it will be dated, yesterday. it’s for the social media types who expose themselves on Instagram, Pinterest, FB, etc.

I could not disagree more with this Onion. This is Hillcrest… the Gay-borhood. Living out loud is the theme here. The building is funky fun & full of imperfect showy boisterousness. “We’re Loud, We’re Proud, Get Used to It”. It is in the perfect neighborhood for this building and the perfect building for the neighborhood. The cookie cutter architects can slide right on down the hill to Mission Valley to the sea of homogenous “apartment homes”. OH SNAP!

I second this Onion nomination! Just plain ugly, out of scale and out of place. The garish color makes it instantly out-of-date, and is guaranteed to not age well, making it an eyesore. This architecture firm had a sterling reputation, until this building! So sad!

The cladding has looked damaged since installation. Is it really suppose to low that way?

It’s called oilcanning. A big mistake in metal siding

This is a huge, stinking onion. I suffer shock every time I have to drive past it. It is just so awfully ugly I can’t imagine what nightmarish idea inspired it. It needs to be demolished. I remember one of the architects reminiscing about his leafy-street upper-class suburban childhood and feeling isolated. This must be his revenge. God only knows. Mr. Burnett, just stay out of and far away from South Park and Greater Golden Hill

I’d have a headache every day if I lived here.
