CBRE University Town Center

Going to work never felt so good. At the hub of an energetic retail, social and connected community, CBRE’s newest San Diego location is looking and feeling like a new way to work. Inspired by the locale, CBRE is creating a place that promotes wellness, through hospitality, technology, and a connection to the community and environment.

“The heart” of the project is a hotel-style lobby that welcomes guests with ambiance, texture, and fresh air. Live plants, a fireplace and natural textures emphasize a connection to the environment through biophilia elements. With no assigned desks, employees are encouraged to work in collaborative lounge areas.

The space takes advantage of the southern California climate with sliding glass doors allowing fresh air to flow throughout the workspaces. A 12’ x 6’ display screen on retractable and pivoting mounts was custom designed to provide a flexible media screen for group events in the space. These thoughtful design elements support CBRE’s commitment to workplace wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
