Buzz is a new mixed-use transit-oriented development located in the vibrant Golden Hill metro neighborhood. This project is at the forefront of new market rate workforce housing achieved through efficient floorplans with great spatial qualities: open floor plans, high ceilings, and abundant natural daylight. The mixed-use project sits at the highest point in Golden Hill, offering unobstructed panoramic views of the Downtown San Diego skyline, the San Diego Bay, the Coronado Bridge and Tijuana, Mexico.

Buzz sits on the 30th Street corridor, extending the adjacent South Park restaurant and retail area into the Golden Hill neighborhood. The Buzz community fosters collisions (community interaction) through shared common space and ground floor restaurant featuring Intazza. Intazza coffee roaster and café, set to open in the first quarter of 2022, will offer their diverse and exotic organic coffee roasts, in addition to a menu of sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads.

The contemporary design, by TFWA Architecture, features 36 residential modern lofts with indoor outdoor floor plans, ceilings up to 19 feet high, and floor to ceiling glass. The south facade of the entire building is home to a hand painted 50 foot mural called Essential, which was designed by local artist Marvin Madariaga. “I wanted to dedicate this artwork to the doctors and nurses that are battling Covid19 everyday and the essential workers that are working during this difficult time.” – Artist, Marvin Madariaga
