WaterPoint Multi-Family Residences – Point Loma

Give Point Loma Village a break – yet another poorly designed multi-family residence! Multi-family residences when designed well contribute to vibrant and pedestrian-friendly village life. But not this project. It turns its back to Scott Street with high walls  abutting the sidewalk and very little transparency. Areas of transparency are limited to storefront doors with a break in the long high wall that is so narrow that it is a surprise to see them. How any retailer could find anything but the corner entries compelling places to set up business is a mystery. What a missed opportunity to be a pioneer in Point Loma and create a lively street front. This project is between a main street in Point Loma Village and the bayfront – what a waste of this very special site.
