Marrow is an utterly fresh fine jewelry boutique concept, the antithesis of a predictably formal and potentially daunting fine-jewelry store. The 1,000-square-foot interaction-encouraging space is a glam-rebel retreat and romantic, gypsy-luxe sanctuary; at once enveloping its guests in playful postmodern opulence with touches of antiquity, eroded gold-veined walls and lush botanicals. Eclectic displays and recessed arched cases pop with a rainbow palette of pastels, complemented by a 7-foot dichroic glass display case perched atop a sherbet-shaded femme brutalist base.
Light and airy with infusions of gem tones, iridescence, and ripples of warm gold details, the center of the room features a white, scalloped-edged cake stand table surrounded by rich velvet chairs, offering a more personal, less formal shopping experience. The pièce de résistance though, may well be the tucked away space dedicated to coveted private consults. Conceived of as an opulent-yet-easy space in line with the Marrow brand and ethos, the “Babe Cave,” is a lavish, monochromatic lair with gemstone wallpaper, lush velvet seating, and gilded bohemian details. In the case of Marrow, more is definitely more.
