I first noticed the Bespoke Partners building while waiting for the light heading to the North Bound 5 in Little Italy during my morning commute. I couldn’t help but admire the glittering glass entryway and contrasting black steel. The light turned green too soon. Every morning I found myself looking forward to stopping at the Laurel & India light to discover something new about this building that had never caught my eye before. Eventually one night I asked my partner if they had noticed this gem and they replied of course, it had been under construction for a while. Intrigued, I had to know what it had replaced, and after a quick Google Maps search, I couldn’t believe the transformation! From a 1980’s Mario Brothers mushroom into a stunning jewel box. Talk about an ugly duckling story. A win for the upper India St. neighborhood. The next morning, and every morning afterwards, the Bespoke building not only left me feeling impressed and wanting to get a full glimpse of what was inside but also inspired. Which is a pretty good feeling to start your day.
