This new San Diego store found a way to mix the fascinating worlds of cosmetics and desserts. Opened in May this year in Westfield Mission Valley Mall, the Beauty Bakerie cosmetics store has a mouth-watering interior reminiscent of scrumptious dessert bakeries. A vibrant palette of pink, tan and turquoise, stretches from pastel to bright tones, creating a place that looks cheerful and playful, yet not overwhelming.
The store’s interior looks fresh and trendy, and appeal to the younger clientele. This is a place where every corner introduces a new decorative element, a task that was achieved by mixing patterns, solid colors, large images and then contrasting all these with brass accents. Elegant brushed brass bar knobs emphasize the long, modern lines of the drawers and the cabinets.
Lighting is very important in this interior. The central circular structure is complemented with a bouquet of svelte Turia gold pendant lamps from Hamilton Conte Paris. Tom Dixon’s Mirror Ball 25 create a landscape of uneven globes of light all across the store. These balanced the angles of the space and softened its look.
A custom make-up table bathed in Hollywood style lit-up mirrors is at the center of the store inviting to sit down and try new cosmetic wonders. A large structural column at the center of the store was creatively converted into a large lip gloss tube. Bold and fresh, Beauty Bakerie store interior is an example of excellent branding behind which lies clarity of vision and passionate design.
