St. Michael's Trash Enclosure Gates

Trash enclosures can become the bain of a neighbor hood or commercial project. The boiler plate design is well known. Here has been applied an elegant, yet simple, design for trash enclosure gates that transforms a typically mundane and unsightly dumpster surround into utilitarian art at its best.

The four tandem gates are constructed of tubular steel and sheeting and serve as a blank canvas for a the fabricated metal public art. They feature a hand finished, stainless steel, three dimensional overlay in the design of a symbolic dove. Other elements include applied pre-cast concrete elements and a pergola.
