Designed in 2005 by Marchese Partners International for the Constellation Property Group, this residential project in an often over-looked part of town was abandoned, partially complete, for 18 months - a victim of the financial crisis. New owner's Carmel Partners invited DBRDS to assist making some alterations in preparing the project for occupancy. This project was opened in 2011.
LOFT2015 brings new life to a brownfield zone with a very innovative design. The 86 townhomes of this project feature green elements (including natural cross-ventilation to ALL units) and plenty of natural light (floor to ceiling glazing on both sides). The design is focused on livability, as all units are centered around a landscaped courtyard area with patios that encourages interaction with the neighbors and community spirit.
With 15% affordable units, the project surpasses the requirement at the time of approval. It also received unanimous support from the Affordable Housing OPA - North Bay PAC & the Midway Planning Group.
LOFT2015 has breathed new life into this neighborhood with its mix of light industrial materials in a contemporary urban lifestyle product.
