Gathering space, "The Bean"

Approx. 1000 s.f. addition to the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center. To act as a coffee/juice "lounge" for users of the various services and facilities of the LFJCC. The existing building had no appropriate space to relax after a workout, meet a friend for a coffee, or sit comfortably while waiting to to pick up a friend or family member. The space is also set up to accommodate the latest in electronic presentation techniques so that small groups can use the space for lectures, classes, seminars, etc. The project's compact kitchen can also serve as the staging area for catering events in the seating area.
