i'm a woodbury student

there are three studio spaces in the building. the largest one (where most students are) has no windows and no natural ventilation which makes for a pretty miserable work space. Some very strange things got value engineered in and out as well. We have a number of $600 stickers that identify rooms, and some fancy schmancy lighting (that required major new elect. equip) in our "lecture hall", but no ventilation... (and we all know how good glue fumes are for you.). The acoustics throughout the building are awful... but I guess that doesn't really matter in photos. And in case anyone is wondering about waterless urinals, I would invite you to smell our bathroom. We used to have a student lounge... now we don't : ( At least the faculty offices are air conditioned and comfortable.

well done

well done.

Rinehart-Herbst took a vacant building that once was considered a blight on the neighborhood of Barrio Logan and transformed it into a vibrant campus exemplified by the eloquent design of its interior and exterior spaces. The library that is contained within the building and looks out onto the courtyard deserves an orchid on its own.

Woodbury

The architect, Rhinehart Herbst, did a wonderful job incorporating the feel of the former hardware building. A beautiful simple, functional space that is a stunning example for its students. The interiors deserve a nomination as well – the design and construction are superb.

Adding beauty to the barrio.

What a standout in the revitalization of Barrio Logan. It's a statement of fine design complementary to and enhanced by the cultural charm of the area. The fact that it's home to a school of architecture is appropriate icing.
